Startups Supercharge Employee Skills In AI, Blockchain, Product Management

As AI and automation reshape corporate roles, startups in India are aggressively investing in employee upskilling. According to a report by Imarticus Learning, more than 70% of startups are focusing on short-term, skill-based programs in AI, Blockchain, and Product Management, while the ‘hire-train-deploy’ model has grown 15% year-on-year to ensure workforce agility.

The study, covering over 300 Indian and global companies, also notes a 35% rise in CXO and senior executive training, particularly in BFSI and consulting, reflecting an emphasis on leadership transformation and financial strategy in volatile markets.

Sector-wise, E-commerce and retail companies are enhancing analytics and AI-driven customer experience skills, manufacturing and supply chain firms are prioritising Industry 4.0 and digital operations, technology and financial services firms focus on AI, cloud, and cybersecurity, while healthcare and pharma invest in data analytics, AI, and regulatory compliance learning.

Nikhil Barshikar, Founder and CEO of Imarticus Learning, emphasised that “today’s corporate L&D landscape has shifted towards personalised, business-aligned learning journeys, enabling employees to stay relevant in rapidly evolving roles.”
