Aged only 21, a Reddit user revealed securing a job paying him Rs 1 lakh a month after having grown up in a poverty-stricken house. The techie confirmed his family used to struggle to make ends meet with a total income of only Rs 15,000. The youngster felt overwhelmed sharing the news with Reddit users and said he has finally “become a son my parents can be proud of.”
Sharing his motivational story on the subreddit “Indian Flex”, the man wrote: “I belong to a very poor family, my dad earns 15k per month till date.” During the post, he poured his heart out and said his parents had to give up basic needs to help him continue his studies and achieve his dreams.

Unable to pay the expensive fees at private tuition classes, the 21-year-old techie highlighted how he used to study from various YouTube channels to prepare for his competitive entrance examination. Despite huge obstacles, the ambitious youngster secured college admission and ultimately got a job with a life-changing annual package.
“I got good marks in cet 2537 AIR and taken admission into it and studied hard and now yesterday I got finally a job offer. I am literally having tears on my eyes while writing this I am so much happy finally!! I become a son my parents can proud of!!” wrote the techie, whose post struck a chord online.

“Congratulations, OP. You have arrived. Your family must be proud of you. If I could suggest, start investing in MF, Stock, and other options. Having lived frugally, it would be easy to save more. Save and build a cushion for yourself and your family,” wrote one user.
Someone else said, “One advice, OP. Don’t immediately start buying random things like an iPhone. If you can do with a 15k phone, then spend a lac to match your peers in the office. The same logic applies to other things. Spend on what you need and not what you want. Save for the initial 2-4 years, invest. Then you can start indulging a little.”
