In a now-viral Instagram post, the duo revealed how they’re funding their travel experiences and just how much it really costs to live like full-time travellers in India and beyond.
According to their viral post, Shweta and Charchit are spending around ₹2,000 a day. That’s covering everything from stay, food, local transport, and activities to the occasional indulgence in travel gear and shopping. Their July 2025 expense breakdown gives followers a real peek into the numbers behind the #TravelGoals life:

Not bad for a whole month of full-time travel, right? That’s less than what most people spend on a five-day luxury vacation!
In their caption, the couple admitted, “We took the 6-month challenge to earn enough to sustain full-time travel, but there’s no way we can get to ₹60,000/month in the starting phase. The first thing we need to do is reduce our expenses.”
The comment section was blowing up with comments and questions! One follower wrote, “But ₹64K is very less in comparison to what others spend in a month, that too without travelling!” Another chimed in, “Life is short, enjoy first. Jobs we can get anytime and anywhere.”
Since their first reel went viral, they’ve only doubled down on trying to travel for free, or for as little money as possible. In interviews, they’ve mentioned how they quit their jobs and started with almost Rs 3 lakh in savings. But it came with a lot of uncertainty. From cold emailing brands for collaboration to volunteering with hotels and homestays in exchange for stays, they are sharing honest experiences with their 30K strong-community. It is also admirable how their transparency has struck a chord with thousands of aspiring digital nomads, budget travellers, and influencers hoping to take the plunge and go see the world before their knees give in.
