Wipro has expanded its workforce by 2,260 employees in the second quarter of 2025, bringing its total employee count to 235,492. The growth is largely driven by the onboarding of around 2,900 fresh graduates, highlighting the company’s focus on nurturing young talent and strengthening its bench of skilled professionals.
The company’s hiring strategy remains demand-driven, aligning recruitment with project requirements while emphasizing employee development and upskilling. Wipro continues to collaborate with educational institutions through its train-and-hire programs, ensuring that new hires are ready to contribute effectively from day one.
The quarter also saw a positive shift in workforce stability. Attrition dropped to 14.9%, down from 15.1% in the previous quarter, signalling improved employee satisfaction and engagement. Utilization rates, excluding trainees, increased to 86.4%, reflecting more efficient deployment of talent on client projects.
