The Philippines’ Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) will open 4,000 overseas employment opportunities at its Mega Jobs Fair for Overseas Employment on Independence Day, providing Filipino job seekers and repatriated overseas workers with access to legal and verified international vacancies. The one-day event will be held on 12 June at Robinsons Galleria Atrium in Quezon City from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. At least 13 licensed recruitment agencies, alongside land-based and manning agencies, will participate, offering a range of overseas roles across multiple industries.
The initiative comes as the government seeks to strengthen employment pathways for Filipinos looking to work abroad while also supporting Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who have returned home following the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. The DMW said the fair is open to both first-time applicants and repatriated workers seeking new employment opportunities.
Job openings will be available in several destinations, including the United States, Canada, Guam, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, Brunei, Croatia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Madagascar, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea. The DMW emphasised that all participating agencies are licensed and registered, reinforcing its efforts to promote safe, legal and quality overseas employment. Through the fair, the agency aims to connect Filipino talent with verified international employers while reducing the risks associated with illegal recruitment.
The programme also highlights the continued demand for Filipino workers in global labour markets and provides an avenue for affected OFWs to re-enter the workforce through legitimate overseas employment channels. By bringing together recruitment agencies and job seekers in one venue, the DMW seeks to improve access to international career opportunities and support workforce mobility for Filipinos.
