A Microsoft employee made waves this week after using an anonymous job board to vent about his Indian colleagues. The remarks have since sparked outrage online with many in the comment section calling it a ‘vile’ post and urging the user to work hard ‘instead of wasting time’ writing such messages.
The racist tirade borrowed from several un-original tropes as the anonymous worker lamented the ‘desi takeover in tech’. The message was posted anonymously on the Team Blind portal and drew sharp criticism from other users.
“Tomorrow marks the end of my fourth week at Microsoft HQ. It is as if I have been teleported to Hindustan. The stench of curry chokes the kitchen. The vulgar tongue of Hindu rings in my ears. The conference rooms sweat turmeric. I’ve long thought charges of a Desi takeover in tech were exaggerated. I was sorely mistaken,” the Microsoft employee wrote.
“Asians are really competitive. You need to work hard instead of wasting time on Blind else you may end up posting about your let-go story here,” jibed one comment.
“How some of you feel so comfortable spewing such racist s**t is beyond me. I guess some people are just genuinely vile,” fumed another.
