Tredence, a data science and AI solutions company, has announced plans to hire 1,800 additional employees in Hyderabad over the next two years, significantly expanding its presence in one of India’s fastest-growing technology hubs.
The move will raise the company’s headcount in the city to 2,200, from around 400 currently. The expansion follows the opening of a 20,000 sq ft delivery and innovation centre in Hyderabad.
The announcement was made at BioAsia 2026, which began in the city this week, the Business Line Hyderabad Bureau reported.
The new facility is designed to support closer collaboration with global clients, enabling teams to move more quickly from early-stage concepts to deployed AI solutions tailored to specific industry needs.
Tredence’s hiring push comes shortly after expansions in Kolkata and Pune earlier this year, underscoring the company’s broader growth strategy across India. The firm employs more than 4,200 professionals globally.
A company official said the recruitment drive will be phased, with around 700 roles expected to be added in 2026, followed by another 1,100 positions the year after.
“The expansion in Hyderabad reinforces the company’s long-term bet on Telangana as a core hub for enterprise AI delivery,” the official said, as reported by Business Line.
Sumit Mehra, chief technology officer and co-founder of Tredence, pointed to Hyderabad’s depth of technical talent and its growing role in the global capability centre ecosystem.
“Our expansion announcement represents a strategic investment in the city’s robust data and AI talent landscape and its rapidly evolving retail and consumer GCC ecosystem,” Mehra said.
He added that Telangana’s combination of academic institutions, skilled professionals, and cost advantages has enabled the company to scale rapidly while building next-generation AI solutions for international clients.
The Hyderabad expansion reflects a wider trend of AI and analytics firms increasing hiring in India as enterprises accelerate investment in automation, data platforms, and advanced digital delivery. Over the next two years, Tredence’s ability to execute its recruitment plans will be closely watched as competition for specialised AI talent intensifies.
