Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh government is trying to provide 20 lakh jobs to the youth, MSME Minister Kondapalli Srinivas said on Monday.
Inaugurating a mega job mela in Vizianagaram district, he said, “We are committed to increasing employment opportunities across the state.” He presented certificates to youths who completed skill training courses and felicitated students who achieved the highest marks in their tenth standard examinations.
During his address, the minister outlined several initiatives aimed at boosting employment and economic growth in the region. “We are organising mega job fairs and conducting training programmes to enhance the skills of our youth,” he explained.
The government’s strategy, he said, includes efforts to promote entrepreneurship at the household level.
Srinivas spoke of plans for establishing MSME parks in every constituency to stimulate industrial and business growth. “We are actively working to attract IT industries on a large scale to our state,” he added.
According to the minister, major industrial developments are in the pipeline for North Andhra, including a pharma cluster, petrochemical industries and steel industries. “All these projects will come to fruition within two to three years,” he said.
The minister advised young job-seekers to gain experience even if initial salaries are low. “With experience, you will have the opportunity to demand better wages,” he said.
