A Toxic Shift in Management

About two years earlier, new ownership and leadership had taken charge. According to him, workplace conditions steadily deteriorated. He believed management’s strategy was to make the environment so unpleasant that employees would resign voluntarily, allowing the company to avoid severance payouts tied to layoffs. The approach seemed effective. In just one year, 35 staff members departed, including senior personnel and individuals who had dedicated decades of service.

The situation worsened the previous November when responsibilities were restructured.
