EZ, the B2B services company has empowered 20 per cent of its workforce with its Performance Buddy programme. This is the company’s way of reinforcing its commitment to employee well-being.
The programme is a confidential one-on-one counselling support initiative provided by an external team of professionals specialising in mental well-being. It offers a safe, unbiased, non-judgmental, and confidential space for employees to engage openly with trained counsellors, fostering emotional clarity, mental well-being and self-awareness as essential drivers of performance.
The initiative has helped employees navigate a range of personal and professional challenges, including managing stress, improving work-life balance, resolving interpersonal conflicts, developing self-awareness, and setting self-improvement goals. It has provided consistent support, empowering employees to show up fully in both their work and personal lives. It is EZ’s belief that performance is not just about meeting KPIs but about empowering people to thrive as whole individuals.
About 80–90 per cent of available monthly sessions were consistently utilised by employees. Approximately 50–55 employees have participated in 300+ sessions since its inception, with 45 per cent comprising women and 55 per cent comprising men. Over time, employees have recognized the programme as an integral part of their well-being. The programme facilitates eight one-on-one counselling sessions per month, thoughtfully scheduled during office hours to seamlessly integrate support into the workday.
Joy Sharma, CEO, EZ, believes that the Performance Buddy programme reinforces the fact that “real performance comes from real support. Psychological wellness isn’t a luxury—it’s the core of any thriving workplace. By creating space for open dialogue and emotional clarity, we’re helping our people show up as their full selves—resilient, grounded, and ready to lead.”
Divya Anand, head of people, EZ, feels the programme “complements our efforts to support our people through the everyday ups and downs. It serves as a meaningful step toward individual growth and well-being.”
