As mid-tier firms make the most of the changing landscape in the IT services industry, the revenue per employee of such firms has grown faster than that of the larger players. Data sourced from research firm UnearthInsight showed that mid-tier IT firms such as LTI Mindtree, Mphasis and Persistent Systems, have grown revenue per employee at 1.5 per cent, 8.5 per cent and 15.2 per cent respectively. In comparison, top-tier firms grew the metric in the range of 1.8-6.2 per cent in FY25. Analysts attribute the better employee productivity quotient in mid-tier firms to their focus on productised solutions and IP. This gives the companies the ability to deliver digital transformation projects with higher value deals and revenue realisation rates, they add.
