As the hiring rate across the country drops and unemployment remains stagnant, finding work can be a struggle.
Forbes released its seventh annual edition of the best employer list. The business magazine collaborated with Statista to survey more than 160,000 employees at U.S. companies with at least 500 workers.
The surveyors were asked how likely they were to recommend their employer on a scale of zero to 10. They were also asked to evaluate their workspace based on wage, work culture, professional advancement and how serious issues like sexual harassment were addressed.
About 1,400 companies made Forbes’ 2025 list, which is broken down by state. Some companies are listed multiple times across different states.

The public university ranked third overall in the state, with the top two companies being out-of-state corporations.
