Pouring his years of hardship and learnings into a Reddit post, a man with an alleged experience of 3 years of working at a US-based company, recently shared about the ‘reality of Indian corporate’. The post was seemingly mainly for ‘freshers’, as the man recalled his initial year of working and narrated the rather harsh experiences he went through. As per the post, the Redditor was able to climb the corporate ladder quite quickly- as he was allegedly turned into a team lead with 5 people under him- in just 1.5 years. He then moved on to explain why he eventually left his job and went for higher studies. As per the man, his company was making him and his team work for ‘7 days a week’ for a project that had a ‘high churn risk’. To put some load off his juniors, he had asked one of his teammates to take a Sunday off- only for the teammate to get contacted by the management- over a ‘breach’.
In the end, when the man left his job, it was his juniors who allegedly blamed him for being ‘too soft’ with them. He further ended up making a ‘poor reputation’ for ‘crossing’ with his ‘seniors’. The man then moved on to his advice, asking ‘freshers’ to only follow the ‘hustle culture’, as an attempt to make a healthy environment will only lead to people ‘somehow finding loopholes’.
The post was quick to go viral, as it left the internet divided. Some agreed with the Redditor, while some disagreed with the man’s ‘learning’. Times Now could not confirm the authenticity of the post.
“The Reality of Indian corporate (for all freshers),” the post read.

“1, a company that gives you 5 people within 1.5 years. 2, wants you to work for 7 days straight for 7 weeks. 3, asahole juniors. 4, Management calling out 1.5 YoE after giving them the authority for granting leaves. 5, all this when they’re having a high churn rate. OP, I’m not going to invalidate your experience. But, Freshers, this is an exception. don’t stress much. OP had a rough one,” a user said.
“Tips to follow after I graduate: Work my juniors like mules. Shouldn’t be too hard,” added a second person. “You can never make everyone happy, especially juniors. Ungrateful br*ts. Ik the feeling of wanting to burn shii down, think of being the very thing they want you to be. Lose the good guy touch,” added a third person.
