Top 10 Emerging Cities In India For Fresher’s Job Hunt, According To LinkedIn

LinkedIn, in its inaugural list of cities on the Rise in India, highlighted the top 10 emerging cities in India for job hunt. The cities offer a promising mix of growing industries, affordable living, and expanding infrastructure.

Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh: The city tops the list as a major industrial and employment hub. The LinkedIn report states that the city is developing various tech-driven companies and the pharmaceutical industry to create more jobs. (AI generated image)

Ranchi, Jharkhand: Ranchi secures the second place in the list. With its hospitality ventures, new retail outlets, smart city initiatives and improved connectivity, Ranchi is now a go-to destination for professionals. 

Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh: This city ranks third. It is drawing investments with more IT players, shop, metro and airport expansion on cards. 

Nashik, Maharashtra: As per the report, the city is attracting a growing number of data and IT companies. The wine capital of India is also witnessing a real-estate boom.

Raipur, Chhattisgarh: The city is seeing an influx of companies across sectors like semiconductors, AI infrastructure and pharmaceuticals. The report states that the state government’s goal to launch ‘Naya Raipur’ is also helping fuel investments in its infrastructure.

Rajkot, Gujarat: With growing MSME sector and better road connectivity across Gujarat, Rajkot secures the sixth place in the list.

Agra, Uttar Pradesh: The report reveals that the city in now undergoing a profound transformation with the 12,000-hectare New Agra project, which is driving significant job opportunities.

Madurai, Tamil Nadu: Madurai is focusing on cutting-edge facilities and infrastructure. This is prompting industries in tech and agriculture sectors to gain a stronghold in the city.

Vadodara, Gujarat: A host of construction project are underway in the Gujarat’s city. Various sectors including Urban infrastructure, healthcare, housing, and transport are witnessing a boom.

Jodhpur, Rajasthan: The city is drawing young professionals seeking affordable living and a strong sense of community. Decentralised job markets, growing startups and new corporate offices are driving the city’s evolution.
