UnitedHealth Group has limited employee pay raises this year to between 0% and 2%, depending on performance, Bloomberg News reported on Friday, citing a person familiar with the matter.
The modest compensation increases come as the company recently told an unspecified number of workers they were being laid off, Bloomberg reported, citing the person.
UnitedHealth did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
The company earlier this year said 2026 revenue would decline for the first time in decades.
The company’s shares were also pressured after the Trump administration proposed a much smaller-than-expected increase to 2027 Medicare Advantage rates.
