The issue reportedly stems from a challenging client project that involved modernizing 15 legacy applications built on IBM systems. The manager and his team were tasked with completing this within a month, even though it became clear early on that the work would require building everything from the ground up. Despite the unrealistic expectations, the team pushed forward. However, after four months of effort, not a single application had been successfully modernized.
The post alleges that due to the project’s failure — and the resulting lack of payment from the client — the company placed the blame solely on the manager and terminated him without due process.
