The effect of burn out at work place has been forcing employees to take early retirement despite getting high salaries now-a-days. In such a case, a Meta employee has confessed that he is fighting to save every dollar in order to quit early from his high paying job.
The Meta employee revealed that he lacks motivation to work despite earning an impressive salary of Rs 3.2 crore. The incident came into the view of public after the employee shared a post on anonymous professional networking app Blind.
He said that he has already accumulated a whopping $700,000 net worth and aims to increase it to $3 million. He said that after achieving a net worth of $3 million, he will retire from work.
“I’m 24 with 700k net worth. I am really blessed to have this at a young age,” the Meta employee acknowledged, even as admitted that he wanted to quit his job.
He further wrote that he has no motivation to work and just wants to quit. However, as he is making money for his family so he is stuck for now. So he is fighting to save every dollar even when his current total compensation stands at $370,000 ( RS 3.2 crore approximately), so he could increase his net worth before he burnt out.
He wondered how much longer he can endure working before his will power crumbles. So, he is fighting to save every dollar right now and waiting till his wealth reaches 3M.
“I can’t stand work at all. Everyday I have no motivation to continue on at work and just want to quit. However, I’m tied to making money for my family,” the Blind user revealed. “I don’t know how much longer I have in me. Feel like I’m fighting to save every dollar right now and watch my nw slowly climb,” he added. At last he questioned, whether the process gets much easier after the $1 million milestone.
“Does it get much easier after 1M? Is the end in sight? My goal is 3M,” the user asked.
