Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, recently highlighted the achievement of Kay Mehta, a wheelchair-bound employee, who undertook a bungee jump in Rishikesh.
Adani shared a video capturing this feat, expressing profound admiration for Mehta’s determination. He remarked, “Most people do it for the thrill. Kay Mehta, our own Adanian, did it to make a statement. From the heights of Rishikesh, strapped in his wheelchair, Kay took a leap that told the world: no odds, no fear, can stop willpower.” He further added, “Kay, you don’t just inspire us—you redefine what it means to be an Adanian. Hum Karke Dikhate Hain #HKKDH.”
The video depicts Mehta securely fastened in his wheelchair, surrounded by a supportive group cheering him on. As he takes the plunge, the scene encapsulates a powerful moment of courage and resilience.
This display of bravery resonated with many, eliciting widespread admiration. One individual commented, “Every time when the mind says this is impossible, the Cosmos sends someone to demonstrate how easily it is possible. Inspiring!” Another remarked, “It is nice to watch a fearless and courageous performance by Kay Mehta.”
A third observer noted, “Kay Mehta’s courage is truly extraordinary! His leap wasn’t just about adventure—it was a powerful message that determination knows no limits.” A fourth added, “Once more, the Adani group is backing the employees who represent just a tiny fraction of this massive company. When you say something like that to a worker, it truly comes off as a heartfelt gesture. Much respect.”
In a related philanthropic gesture, during his son Jeet Adani’s wedding, Gautam Adani donated Rs 10,000 crore to social causes. The newlyweds, Jeet Adani and Diva Shah, also pledged to donate Rs 10 lakh each annually to support the weddings of women with disabilities.
