The HR goes on with assigning you a task- that you put a lot of effort into and finally complete it. Luckily, you even clear the first round and get selected for the ‘technical round’- ONLY to finally get a rather ‘unethical’ response; the post you applied for has been put on freeze! As per a man on Reddit, that is exactly what happened with him. After dedicating a good amount of time to the said assignment, he was later informed that the position had been frozen. Taking to social media, the man shared his frustration and called the incident and the startup in question unethical and unprofessional.
The post went viral in an instant, drawing multiple reactions. Most found the incident relatable and suggested the man to not fall for such companies. Many also recalled their own stories. Times Now could not confirm the authenticity of the post.
“Some companies don’t know how to run a business,” the post read.
“Some startups lack basic ethics and professionalism in how they operate. I recently applied for a job where the HR representative contacted me for an initial discussion. She informed me that I would be given an assignment, and based on its evaluation, I would proceed to the technical round. I completed the assignment, got selected for the technical round, and an interview was scheduled. However, later the HR called to inform me that the technical round was postponed due to a meeting with the founder. A few days later, I followed up to check on the status of the interview, and this is the response I received,” the post read.
