In a relatable clip about the struggles of working from home and maintaining work-life balance, an employee was accidentally heard complaining about his manager during a live meeting. The man is seen complaining to his wife “I don’t know who made him manager” because he is told by another employee that his mic and camera are both on.
The clip, shared by News Algebra on X, has already crossed 849.5K views, with users finding both the slip-up and the sentiment behind it relatable.
The video shows the man attending a group call when his wife asks why he has joined yet another meeting. He replies, “I can’t help it, the manager scheduled the meeting at 7 o’clock. I don’t know who made him manager,” unaware that both his mic and camera are on.
Another colleague then jumps in to warn him that his audio and video are live, turning the moment instantly awkward.

The clip has resonated widely online, with many saying it reflects the reality of remote work in India. “Work-life balance is a myth in India,” one user wrote, while several others called the moment “too relatable.”
Some users also pointed to the broader work culture. “This is the truth, we Indians working for foreign clients at hard hours, but foreign countries looking at us as cheap labour,” one comment read.
At the same time, many reacted with humour. “Bro just speedran his resignation letter,” one user joked, while another wrote, “Tomorrow will be his last day at the company; full credit goes to his wife.”
Others summed it up more sharply: “Camera on, mic on, career on pause.”
The moment has now become one of those classic remote-work mishaps – funny on the surface, but also reflecting how blurred work and personal boundaries have become for many. Has this ever happened to you?
