A job seeker is concerned that the number of interviews a company is putting her through for an open role is reflective of their work culture.
The woman explained the extensive interviewing process as well as her concerns with pursuing the opportunity on the community forum Mumsnet.
“I’m currently interviewing for a role and I’ve had the following interviews: HR, hiring manager, peer meeting, technical exercise, call to discuss technical exercise, interview with a stakeholder, meeting with head of international team, meeting with head of North America,” she wrote.

“This was supposedly the last stage but had an email Friday indicating that they want me to do a final, final interview with the head of the entire global team,” she continued. “This is just excessive.”
The job seeker also mentioned that this is for “a fairly senior role.”
Wondering what she should do, she asked, “Do I sit through it and attend this final interview? Should I say something to HR? Is this a sign of the culture and they’re unable to make decisions quickly, or am I overthinking?”
In a poll under her post, 90% of the nearly 300 voters chose the “You are NOT being unreasonable” voting option.
“That’s ridiculous, Alarm bells would be going off for me,” one reader replied, while another commented, “I would not mention this to HR until I’d got the job signed and done — and even then only in the context of it might’ve been helpful if interviews had been grouped or panels.“
A third person recommended that she proceed with caution, “I’d do the last interview but I’d be asking probing questions to them too.”
