A woman in central China has gone viral after taking a five-hour nap at work and posting a tearful video about her boss, who allegedly threatened to fire her if it happened again. According to Haicho News, the unidentified woman said her boss treated her badly, and she was unhappy with her salary.
According to SCMP, the woman is employed in Shangqui, Henan province, though her company and job role remain unclear.
Responding to her boss’s threat online, the woman said, “I will not leave. I will make him understand the concept of what you get is what you pay for.”
According to SCMP, her boss found out about the long nap when she woke up and took a chocolate snack from his desk.
Her boss, who has glucose intolerance, nearly collapsed in the office because he could not restore his sugar levels in time.
“My boss became enraged. He said I meant to kill him. He gave me a warning, threatening to fire me,” the woman said in the video, adding that “For those who criticise me, you do not understand people like me who have such a low salary.”

Another person wrote, “The Labour Law stipulates that a worker works eight hours a day. So, deducting five hours for nap, time for lunch and going to the toilet, you have less than two hours for sitting in front of your desk to work.”
A third user added, “My God, I did not expect that one day I would support a boss, ha.”
Another said, “Set an alarm before you take a nap next time, so you will not miss the time to get off duty.”
