Regeneron to create hundreds of jobs with new Hyderabad GCC

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, an American biotechnology company, has announced plans to set up a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad. The new centre will scale global operations and is expected to generate hundreds of jobs in the coming years, covering areas such as data management, statistical programming, digital technology, artificial intelligence, clinical trial operations, analytics, and commercial functions.

Founded and led by physician-scientists, Regeneron already employs more than 15,000 people worldwide and has 15 approved medicines with nearly 50 more in development. Its treatments reach patients in over 100 countries, supported by clinical trials across 60 nations. The Hyderabad GCC will complement its strong US base and expand its presence in India, building on its Bengaluru operations established in 2022.

Telangana IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu welcomed the investment, highlighting Hyderabad’s growing reputation as a hub for biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and advanced digital innovation. With over 450 GCCs already operating in the city, Hyderabad offers a deep talent pool in life sciences, AI, and digital technologies, supported by strong infrastructure and research capabilities.

Bari Kowal, senior vice president at Regeneron, emphasised that the Hyderabad centre is a key step in scaling global operations, while Rajiv Onat, executive director of the GCC, noted that the facility will be anchored in talent development and a culture that enables employees to do their best work.

The move signals new opportunities in high-value biotech roles, reinforcing India’s position as a strategic partner in global healthcare innovation. The centre is expected to be operational in the second half of 2026, with initial job postings already announced.
