‘Tomorrow is not promised’: Delhi CEO gives employees ₹10,000 and 3-day break for Mother’s Day

New Delhi: Delhi CEO’s heartfelt Mother’s Day gesture is winning hearts online after he announced ₹10,000 and three days of paid leave for employees to take their parents on a vacation.

Rajat Grover, founder and CEO of Delhi-based PR firm Elite Marque, has drawn widespread attention online after introducing a unique employee initiative focused on parents and family time.

As part of the Mother’s Day campaign, employees at the company will receive ₹10,000 as reimbursement along with an additional three-day paid leave to take their parents on a short vacation.

The leave will reportedly not be deducted from employees’ regular paid time off balance.

‘We keep saying one day’

Sharing the initiative on Instagram, Rajat Grover reflected on the sacrifices parents make throughout their lives for their children.

“We keep saying ‘one day’ to the people who spent their whole lives saying ‘yes’ to us,” he wrote in the post announcing the campaign.

He added that parents often give their “time, dreams, energy, and years” without expecting anything in return and encouraged employees to ask their parents what they always wanted to do and help make it happen.

Emotional message to employees goes viral

In a video message shared online, Grover spoke emotionally about how parents support their children long before they achieve professional success.

“Before I built this company, somebody woke up at 5 in the morning. Made my food. Kept the house running. So that I could spend every single minute building my dreams,” he said.

“We don’t know how much time we have with them. Tomorrow is not promised. So if there is a place they always wanted to go, a moment they always wanted to have, this is the time. Take them. Go now. Don’t wait,” he added.

The CEO also said parents “founded our confidence, values and strength” long before their children built careers or businesses.

Initiative linked to ‘Poocha Kya?’ campaign

The initiative was launched under the company’s “#PoochaKya?” campaign centred around gratitude, emotional connection and family relationships.

According to Grover, the idea was not designed as a corporate bonus or publicity exercise but as a reminder for people to spend meaningful time with their parents while they still can.

He explained that the campaign encourages employees to ask one important question many people postpone due to busy schedules and work pressures: “What’s the one thing you always wanted to do that we never made time for?”

Social media users praise ‘human’ leadership style

The initiative quickly went viral across social media platforms, with many users praising the company’s people-first work culture and emotional approach to employee wellbeing.

Several users described the gesture as rare in today’s corporate environment, where work stress and burnout are increasingly discussed.

Comments online called the initiative “heartwarming”, “thoughtful” and an example of compassionate leadership in the workplace.

Rajat Grover had earlier gained attention after reportedly giving employees a nine-day Diwali break, which also sparked discussions online about work-life balance and flexible workplace culture.

The latest Mother’s Day initiative has once again highlighted growing conversations around employee wellbeing, mental health and family-focused policies in Indian workplaces.
