Remember the jokes that often came around on social media? The ones where netizens talked about how even newborns should work so that they can finally fulfil the ‘expected working experience’ by companies? Well, it seems like the joke isn’t a joke anymore- as based on this ‘job description’ going viral- a company is searching for candidates with some bizarre expectations related to ‘hands-on experience’. Taking to the internet, a man shared a screenshot of the said job posting that he came across on an app. As per the post, the company allegedly wanted a candidate with ‘46 years of hands-on experience! The man allegedly dismissed it as a ‘typo’ at first, but was left second-guessing after the same ‘typo’ was repeated quite a few times. As soon as the post was shared online, it went viral and pulled all kinds of reactions.
Most found the entire thing hilarious and cracked many jokes, while some speculated that the posting was a ‘scam’. A few also speculated the possibility of it being a ‘glitch or a typo’.
Times Now could not confirm the authenticity of the claim.
“Job for a 60-year-old person,” the post read.
“First I thought it was a typo but in the description, it was mentioned the same, so yeah if someone if someone wants can find it and apply,” the post further read.
The post was shared on Reddit, by the handle ‘scalarPoint’. The post was shared two days ago and pulled many upvotes from people.
“It should be 4-6 or 4 to 6. Something got skipped by the recruiter while typing,” a user said. “Safe to say that it’s a fake or ghost job where the recruiter has no intent to hire,” added a second person.
“Reminds me of the movie- The Intern. But I feel like this is simply a mistake. Or maybe it is one of those postings that are posted for the sake of being posted,” asked a third person. “This is where we are heading. This is why people joke about working right after being born,” added the next.
“It’s a naukri app error… Seen this multiple times… 2-3 years of experience is written as 23 or maybe error on recruiters side?” added another. “Okay so please tell me this is a joke because what?” added another person.
