Zomato employee alleges unethical removals in LinkedIn post

Zomato is facing allegations of “unethical behaviour against employees” after Shashank Shukla, who joined the company in February this year, claimed that staff were being removed “without their consent.”

In a LinkedIn post, Shukla wrote: “Hello Connections, This is to bring into your notice that Zomato is ongoing with unethical behaviour against employees of the organisation, I am a part of the organisation and would like to confirm that unethical removals of employees are going on here without even consent of employees.”

He added that employees’ personal circumstances were not taken into account and alleged that senior leadership acted without accountability.

“No matter what the situation is within your family, No one like none will understand and they will take action against you, They will fire you out and there is no action taken against upper management regarding their unethical behaviour. I have been into a incident and thereby confirming the same,” he wrote.

When contacted by CNBC-TV18 regarding the allegations, Zomato declined to comment.

The post tagged Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal, along with other company leaders and group brands including Hyperpure and Blinkit.

Shukla said he had already raised the issue internally. “I have already escalated all the issues to you via mail so please look into this and do the needful. #justiceforemployees,” the post concluded.
