Dell Technologies has asked its employees to avoid work-related travel to the Middle East until mid-April, as companies grow increasingly cautious amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the region.
The advisory, communicated internally, applies to all business travel to, from and through affected locations. Employees currently based in the region have been encouraged to limit movement and, where possible, shift to remote work arrangements as a precaution.
The move reflects a broader recalibration by global firms as security concerns begin to influence workplace decisions, particularly around employee mobility and on-ground operations. Organisations are increasingly factoring geopolitical risks into their duty of care frameworks.
Alongside travel restrictions, companies are also stepping up internal support systems, including risk monitoring and employee assistance measures, to navigate uncertainty.
The development underscores how external geopolitical developments are reshaping corporate policies, with employee safety emerging as a critical priority alongside business continuity in an interconnected global workforce.
