Her response was direct: “Then schedule it during work hours.”

When the manager pointed out that “Everyone else joined,” the employee refused to change her stance. Instead, she replied, “Everyone else is burnt out. I’d like to not be.”

The conversation did not end there. The manager tried once more, saying, “It’s just one meeting.”

But the employee believed the issue was bigger than a single call. She answered, “It’s never just one. That’s how it starts.”

After saying this, she logged off at 6 pm as planned.
